Bishop Chester Aycock is a lifetime Disciple of Christ, whose commitment to Christ is unquestionable. He descended from a long line of gospel preachers. Bishop Aycock’s growth in ministerial leadership was formed through a strong spiritual walk and practical application. He has served on the Board of Elders, the Ways and Means Committee, and as District Evangelist of the Assembly. He has walked with integrity as pastor for more than 40 years.
During his tenure at St. Paul, God gave Bishop Aycock the vision to begin a church growth project with one idea, REVIVAL! The vision brought forth the St. Paul New Year’s revival with the focus being salvation and wholeness. The results have been and continue to be numerical and financial growth, all based out of spiritual growth. Another powerful result has been the birth of forty-five sons and daughters into the gospel ministry.
He was the longest service Presiding Bishop of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Asssembly, retiring with 20 years of Godly leadership. Bishop Aycock is married to Lady Tina and together they share 4 children and 6 grandchildren. It is a blessing for Bishop Aycock to be allowed to share what God has placed upon his heart concerning growth and development of the church in this new millennium.
